Patricia Sickinger, who has worked at Providence College since 1988, serves as senior executive assistant to the provost. In her role, Sickinger is responsible for the facilitation and implementation of policies and procedures related to the hiring of new faculty, the tenure and promotion process for current faculty, and the preparation and dissemination of contracts for undergraduate and graduate faculty.

She serves as a resource and advisor to the provost, faculty, deans, department chairs and program directors, administrators, and staff. 

Sickinger is a member of the Academic Affairs Council and has served on several committees, most notably as co-chair of the Academic Affairs Department Chair/Program Director Task Force. Sickinger also helps to coordinate the annual orientation for new department chairs and program directors and presents at the orientation for new faculty.

Away from Providence College, Sickinger serves on the National Board of Directors for the Society of St. Vincent DePaul and currently holds the position of Northeast Regional Vice President.

She earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in counseling from Providence College.
