Faculty Discretionary Fund
In 1995 as part of the agreement with the Faculty Welfare Committee, the College established a fund to support Ordinary Faculty in their research, teaching, and other related professional activities. The current fund allows for a faculty member's expenditures of $750* over a two-year period (2010-11 and 2011-12). Requests for the use of these funds should be submitted on the appropriate reimbursement form and directed to the Office of Academic Affairs, Harkins Hall 208.
Questions concerning the use of these funds should be directed to Alyssa Marton at extension 1765. The reimbursement form, with deadlines and guidelines, is available in the Office of Academic Affairs (Harkins Hall 208) or by downloading it from this site.
*Effective immediately, sales tax is not eligible for reimbursement through the Discretionary Development Fund. Providence College is a tax exempt organization and as such does not pay sales tax. Reimbursement is available for the actual item(s) purchased, according to the fund guidelines, and not any associated sales tax(es).
