Academic Advising at Providence College is faculty-based, coordinated and supported by the Director of Academic Advising, and supplemented by
academic departments and programs, a variety of
pre-professional programs, and by the
Office of the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. Academic advising also involves collaboration with and referral to the
Center for Career Education, Office of Academic Services, Personal Counseling Center,
Enrollment Services, and Center for International Studies.

The Providence College Academic Advising programs serve students by helping them develop educational plans in accord with their interests and commensurate to their abilities and by fostering academic development through the sciences and humanities, to prepare its students to be responsible and productive citizens who serve in their own society and the greater world community.
