Study Abroad Programs for Women’s Studies (10 options; nine semester & one summer):
Very demanding program that requires work by the participants during the summer, prior to the Fall semester abroad. Well-suited program for students who may want to pursue graduate studies or a career in the field.
Social Justice, Gender, and the Environment in L. America (Spring semester focus)
Students take Arabic (previous study recommended but not required) and reside in a family homestay
Requires two semesters of French; program focus on international development with a 10 week field placement
Prior Hebrew study recommended, but not required. Internship options related to Women’s Studies available.
Students reside with Israeli students in the Residence Village
Cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary study of British women of diverse backgrounds. Internships and Independent Study options available.
For independent, mature students who can handle a semester in a no-frills living environment
Program has been a strong draw for LGBTQ students
While this program does not focus on Gender Studies per se, it is one subject area available to interested students and provides a more mainstream program to the SIT program listed above in Amsterdam.
