Spring Dance Concert

The Department of Theatre, Dance and Film presents the Providence College Dance Company’s Spring Dance Concert on April 26 at 8:00 PM and April 27 at 2:00 PM.  The concert is directed by Dr. Wendy Oliver, chair of the Department of Theatre, Dance and Film.  The program features thirteen dances choreographed by Dance Company sophomores, juniors and seniors, and one additional dance from outside the company by senior, Shane Farrell.  The concert will also include a performance of Donald McKayle’s Rainbow Etude, featuring a live performance of spirituals by the Providence College a cappella group, Special Guest.   The variety of choreography includes contemporary ballet, tap, jazz, and modern, all with contemporary music.  For the seven graduating seniors in the company, this Dance Concert will be their last Dance Company performance. The Box Office in the lobby of the Smith Center for the Arts is open for walk-up sales from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and one hour before curtain.  Tickets may also be purchased over the phone by credit card by calling 401-865-2218 during Box Office hours.  For more information visit our website at www.providence.edu/theatre.

Walk-up: The Box Office opens three weeks before opening night, and one hour prior to curtain on all performance days. In person sales may be paid for by cash, check, or credit card.
