David Barbour ‘79 is editor of Lighting&Sound America, a monthly trade publication covering technology in the live performing arts including Broadway, concert touring, corporate events, theatre architecture, houses of worship and much more. He also writes about the New York theatre as a freelancer for such publications as Playbill and Entertainment Weekly.

Mary Ellen (Baxter) Breen ‘83 is a nationally certified interpreter for the deaf and regularly interprets productions at theatres such as the Providence Performing Arts Centre, Trinity Repertory Company and Perishable Theatre.

Kenny Carnes-Beaupre ‘94 is a performance poet and creator of the play Pieces of War which he has toured throughout the United States . He is currently working in collaboration with the Office of Senator Jack Reed, Brown University , the VA and the Veterans Task Force of RI to use theatre as a means to generate public awareness of post-war recovery issues, and to assist with the transition of Rhode Island ’s war veterans suffering from PTSD upon their return from Iraq and Afghanistan .

Brendan Byrnes '92 most recently appeared in the Off-Broadway production of the new play, Pyramid of the Sun at the Hudson Guild Theatre, NYC, Nite-Club Confidential at Sierra Rep in Sacramento , CA, The Screams of Kitty Genovese at the Theatre at St.Clements as a part of The New York Musical Theatre Festival, NYC. He also has a recurring role in the HBO television pilot Say Uncle and can be seen in the Disney film Enchanted, opening November 2007. Brendan also had the pleasure of returning to PC in the spring of 2005 to direct and choreograph Brigadoon, the inaugural production at the Angell Blackfriars Theatre in the new SmithCenter for the Arts.

Stephanie (Kraus) Carr ‘96 works full-time as the Director of Programs and Services for Pushcart Players, an Equity Touring Theatre Company for young audiences based in Verona , New Jersey . She also acts in several of the shows, most recently playing the role of Alena in The Last, The Very Last…Butterfly.

Jesse Cardozo ‘07 recently began working for ShowMotion, one of the leading companies that provide scenery and equipment to Broadway shows.

Vincent Clark ’74 made his professional debut in 1975 appearing at Olney Theatre in The Show-Off by George Kelly. Vincent is a member of the Acting Company of the Washington Stage Guild, a small Equity theater company in Washington DC , where he has appeared in: Major Barbara, Too True to Be Good, Heartbreak House, Man and Superman, Aristocrats The Play’s the Thing  and Steve Martin’s The Underpants among many others. His most recent performances have been in Mawby Green’s and Ed Feilbert’s translation of George Feydeau’s 13 Rue de L’Amour (May/June, 2007), and the area premiere of Michael Frayn’s Democracy (July/August, 2007), both at Olney Theatre. Even though more than three decades have passed since graduating, Vincent considers the friendships made while doing theatre at PC to be among the most enriching and enduring of his life.

Patrick Cohen ’01 is currently living and working in New York, but will be relocating to LA
sometime this year. He has worked at number of regional theatres including Long Wharf Theatre in Connecticut . He has done plays Off and Off-Off Broadway, as well as several independent films and appearances on One Life to Live and All My Children.  He is currently starring in a new hit webseries entitled We Need Girlfriends which can be seen at: www.weneedgirlfriends.tv, or on Youtube, Myspace, or as a podcast on itunes.

Spencer Crockett ‘04 recently completed his first full year as Assistant Technical Director in the Department of Theatre Dance and Film at Providence College .

Amanda Blake Davis ‘98 lives in Chicago where she performs with The Second City e.t.c., a nationally recognized improvisational comedy troupe. She can also be seen at the Improv Olympic Theater and in various independent shows in the Chicago Area.

Ted Deasy ‘87 has appeared in productions in  New York and at regional theatres throughout the country including: Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Rep, Delaware Theatre Company, GeVa Theatre Company, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Milwaukee Repertory Theatre.

Carl Gudenius ‘80 is professor of design in the Department of Theatre & Dance at George Washington University inWashington , DC and heads their graduate program. He owns a fabrication shop called Pro-Scenic, Inc. which produces scenery for theatre, television and corporate events. In the fall of 2006 he returned toProvidence College as a visiting artist and designed scenery for the TDF production of Amadeus.

Christine (Gillespie) Facer ‘91 has moved back to the United States from England and recently played Agnes in a summer theatre production of Dancing at Lughnasa.

Katie Hughes ‘06 stage managed three original plays for the Elemental Theatre Collective held at Perishable Theatre in Providence in February of 2008, and is currently acting with the Manton Avenue Project’s latest round of children written, adult acted plays.

Adrienne Johnson ‘05 is living in Boston and was hired as the ASM for Company One's productions of Gibson Girl at the Boston Center for the Arts; Plaza Theatre.

Nicole Kempskie ‘95 most recently choreographed the spring tour of Max and Ruby for TheatreworksUSA and directed the New York revival of Tristine Skylar's play The Moonlight Room at the Bank Street Theatre, in NYC.  She is the Co-founder and Artistic Director of Brooklyn Children's Theatre, now in it's fourth year.

Erin Joy Schmidt-Langin ‘00 is currently appearing in Talk Radio at Mosaic Theatre and was last seen as Alais in Caldwell Theatre’s production of The Lion in Winter. She holds an MFA in Acting from theActors Studio Drama School in NYC. In addition to her work on the stage, she also holds a position as an adjunct professor of Theatre at Broward College in Florida .

Justin Langin ‘00 is currently attending the University of Miami ’s prestigious graduate program in Motion Picture Production. He has completed three short films, one of which, The Ace of Pinecrest Falls, earned him the Best in Show prize at the University’s Film Festival and a special screening on the Paramount Studios lot in Los Angeles .

Liz Larsen-Silva ‘05 lives in Chicago and has worked with The RedMoon Theatre, Point of Contention Theatre and is currently doing a production of Broke with the Hobo Junction Theatre Company.

John O’Hurley ’76 recently appeared on Broadway as Billy Flynn in the musical,Chicago . In March 2007 he began a run as King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot at the Wynn resort in Las Vegas . John can also be seen on television as the host of the popular game show Family Feud.

Chris O’Neill ‘91 was a stage-manager/lighting tech for Holland America Cruise Lines and is now the Production Manager for Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech & Dance.

Rebecca (Kupka) Overton ’95 made her Broadway debut in Saturday Night Fever and performed leading roles in national tours of 42nd Street and A Chorus Line. This summer Rebecca played Charity in Sweet Charity at the West Virginia Public Theater and Kathy Selden in Singing In The Rain at Lyric Theater of Oklahoma. She is currently a vacation swing in the Broadway company of Jersey Boys.

Kyle Pinto ‘04 has been traveling throughout Italy with a “Theatre for Educations” group, A.C.L.E. that sends native English speakers to schools in Italy .

Michael Propster ‘03 is entering his second year of graduate school at the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium on his way to earning an MFA in acting. After graduating from Providence College, he toured the country with the National Players and worked professionally as an actor in Washington , DC.

Colleen Rosati ‘07 is the secretary for Disney Theatrical Productions and will be working directly on the upcoming production of The Little Mermaid this winter.

Michael Sablone’98 lives in Los Angeles and is the Literary Associate at Center Theatre Group (Mark Taper Forum). Recently he was the dramaturg for the world premiere of David Henry Hwang’s play Yellow Face at the Center Theatre Group, the world premiere of Paul Grellong’s play Radio Free Emerson, staged at the Gamm Theatre in Rhode Island . Last season he dramaturged the American Premiere of Barry Edelstein’s adaptation of Joshua Sobel’s play iWitness, also at the Forum.

Chris J. Silva ‘03 recently played Mercutio in a new production of Romeo and Juliet with The New Place Players. In the spring of 2007 C.J. returned to Providence College as a visiting artist where he directed and choreographed the TDF production of Company.

Conor Tansey ‘05 toured the United States in the role of Tranio in Taming of the Shrew with The National Players based out of Olney Theatre Center in Maryland . He recently played Agent Hard in Point Break LIVE! – a parody based on the ’92 movie Point Break – performed at the Milagro Theatre inNew York City .
