Student Congress Committees

1. Student Life
The Student Life committee is responsible for ensuring the quality of on-campus living, off-campus living, and dining relations.

2.  Planning and Steering
The Committee for Planning and Steering ensures that all operations of Student Congress are in agreement with the Constitution of the Student Congress.  They are editors of all legislative documents that come before Congress to ensure their accuracy.  One member serves as the elections chairperson.  He/she ensures that election regulations are followed.

3.  Academics
The Academics Committee is responsible for working with students and faculty members to ensure the best classroom experience for everyone.  They work closely with the Faculty Senate.  Learn more about this committee.

4.  Clubs and Organizations
This is the largest committee on Congress as it is responsible for all the clubs on campus.  If you have a particular interest such as Art or Business, you could be in charge of all the art or business clubs on campus.  The committee also assists in the creation of new clubs.  Learn more about starting a club.

5. Publicity
The Publicity Committee is responsible for communicating everything that Congress does to the student body.  Publicity is responsible for maintaining the Student Congress website and all other circulated media.  To read about the very latest Congress news, events, and polls visit the Student Congress newsletter, The Congress Connect.

6. Congress Outreach
Congress Outreach is in charge of organizing all Student Congress events for the school year.  Yearly events include Midnight Madness, Stuartstock, and Friar Tailgates.  See an event schedule for this year.
