Student Congress

The Student Congress is the only group on campus that is the representative of the entire student body. The president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary are elected annually by the entire student body and serve to coordinate the activities of the remaining members of the Student Congress. Each class elects class officers and the five class representatives. All serve for a term of one year. The Executive Board also appoints almost 40 committee chairs and secretaries. The committees carry out many functions ranging from talking with Sodexho on food, to academic affairs, to community service initiatives. The purpose of the Student Congress is to represent the student body in all facets of college life, and the Student Congress has representation on various standing committees of the college such as Steering and Planning, Financial Aid Advisory and numerous other sections of the college. Student Congress receives its financing from the student activity fee and the Student Congress, at the beginning of the school year, allocates funds to all other student organizations.
