The Slavin Center Information Desk exists for one purpose only -- to be of help to members of the Providence College community and visitors to our campus. Much like the S.A.I.L. Office, people call the Information Desk because they are unsure of whom to call for an answer or are frustrated in their search for information.
Some of the Slavin Center Information Desk responsibilities include:

coordinating vendors for Slavin Lawn and lower Slavin

booking reservations

distributing telephone and campus directory information
-
selling discount movie passes
-
providing local and national transportation information

assisting student groups with program planning
-
reporting building needs to Physical Plant

maintaining the student office key box
-
providing campus-wide event information
-
providing supervision of the facility in the evening hours

and acting as a resource for all calls and visitors requiring information about Providence College or the surrounding city
The reservationist, Vicky Moschou, handles reservations for all facilities on campus, including Slavin Center, classroom space, Feinstein Function Room, etc. She also works closely with a variety of campus departments (i.e. Hurley, Physical Plant, Sodexho, etc.) to ensure that the program scheduled in a space runs smoothly.

Flower Deliveries: All flowers addressed to resident students are delivered to the Information Desk. The student is contacted as soon as the delivery arrives.
Transportation: Information Staff at the desk are available to assist in accessing information regarding buses, trains, taxicabs, the campus shuttle, and airport shuttles.
Movie Pass Sales: Discount tickets to Showcase Cinema at the Providence Place Mall are available at the Information Desk.
