Reporting Sexual Misconduct

A report of sexual misconduct may be made to any one of the following persons/offices:

  • Office of Safety and Security (401-865-2391 )
  • A resident assistant, hall director, or a staff member in the Office of Residence Life                 (office: 401-865-2392 );
  • VASE (Victim Advocacy, Support, & Education) (401-865-1177)
  • Personal Counseling Center (401-865-2343 );
  • Office of the Chaplain/Campus Ministry             (401-865-2216 );
  • Student Health Center (401-865-2422 );
  • Day One, The Sexual Assault Trauma Resource Center (401-421-4100 );
  • City of Providence Police Department                (401-272-1111 );

  • Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence  (24 Hour Hotline 1-800-494-8100)

  • A college official (staff, administrator, or faculty).

When a student shares information about a sexual assault with a member of the Office of the Chaplain, the Personal Counseling Center, the Student Health Center, or VASE, confidentiality will be protected to the extent permitted under the Clery Act .  It should be noted that a report to Safety and Security, Residence Life, a College official, and/or the Providence police is considered a formal report and will serve as a complaint to College authorities.
