GROUPS

The Personal Counseling Center offers support groups and structured skills-building groups for students who are seeking the benefits that come from meeting with peers in a small group format who share similar struggles and concerns about a variety of issues. If there is a group listed below that a student is interested in, they can contact the Personal Counseling Center by calling 865-2343 and ask about information for a specific group.

A student may also ask to speak with the individual counselor who is scheduled to run the group. Groups are offered at various times throughout the academic year so students should call to inquire about a particular group's availability. Group counseling is available on the following topics:

  • Adult Children of Alcoholics
  • Eating Disorders and Body Image Preoccupation
  • Grief and Loss
  • Divorce Support
  • Sexual Assault/Relationship Violence Support
  • When Saying Hello is Difficult
  • Fathers, Sons, and Brothers
  • Self Esteem Enhancement
