Transformations Leadership Retreat – September 26-27, 2009
Transformations was designed for you, the aspiring leader, to help you cultivate your leadership skills. The retreat will provide you with fun and challenging leadership development activities, as well as the opportunity to begin building relationships with classmates, current student leaders, and members of Providence College’s staff. Transformations will enable you to begin to explore your potential as a student leader at PC.
This year’s program will include leadership activities and an overnight at YMCA Camp Woodstock, in Woodstock Valley, Connecticut. Some programs will be facilitated by onsite staff, while others will be facilitated by PC staff and students. Upon completion of Transformations, participants will receive a monthly e-newsletter and be invited to participate in special leadership development programs throughout the year.
It is important to note that retreat activities will include workshops, discussions, some field and water activities, and ropes course challenges. Every activity we facilitate follows the philosophy of “Challenge by Choice”. This means that everyone chooses his or her own level of participation and is not coerced to take a role s/he is uncomfortable performing.
The cost of the program is $100, which includes lodging, transportation, meals, activities, and supplies. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available.
Registration is limited! To register for the program or apply for a scholarship, please visit our website: www.providence.edu/Student+Life/Student+Activities/Student+Leadership/Fall+Semester+Programs.htm. All registration materials are due by August 31, 2009. Registration will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
