Preference is given to those students organized through Campus Ministry and the Feinstein Institute. All other requests will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The shuttle runs Monday-Friday from 1:00pm-7:00pm and arrives to and departs from behind Raymond Hall. If you participate in community service as a co-curricular activity or academic requirement and you are seeking transportation to and/or from a service site during the shuttle's operational hours, complete this formand submit it to Meghan Griffiths in the Chaplain's Office. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate all requests. A completed request form does not guarantee a seat on the shuttle. Once your request form is received, you will be notified within 3 days via email as to your status.

Providence College Van Program

The Office of Student Activities-Involvement and Leadership is pleased to offer the services of the Van Program that provides students, clubs and organizations the opportunity to reserve a 12 passenger van to access off-campus events/locations. There are four 12 passenger vans available to support the co-curricular programs sponsored by Campus Ministry, The Feinstein Institute, Recreational Sports, Residence Life and the SAIL Office (clubs and organizations)

Whenever possible, requests should be made in conjunction with an authorized driver. It is the trip coordinator's responsibility to find an authorized driver for the trip. If the trip is over 150 miles roundtrip, a backup driver will be necessary. Please note: Trips must be 200 miles or less one way. If a club/organization does not have an authorized driver in its membership, it may request the services of a paid driver for a small cost to the organization.

Reservation requests must be submitted as far in advance as possible. The deadline for submitting requests is no later than one week prior to departure with an authorized driver and not later than two weeks prior when a paid driver is necessary. We will not be able to accommodate late requests. When submitting requests through one of the offices listed above (Campus Ministry, Feinstein Institute, Residence Life, Recreational Sports) please submit the request to the designated coordinator. Clubs and organizations should submit requests through the Transportation Office located in the SAIL Office. Please fill in the van reservation request form below and email it to transportation@providence.edu. Please note that you must have at least Adobe Reader 7.0 or a newer version to save the file. The reader is available free at www.adobe.com.

Any prospective driver wishing to become authorized must be 21 years of age, complete all three required forms (see below), as well as attend a mandatory defensive driving course that will be offered on campus. Driver authorization will be handled through the Office of Risk Management. After filling out the forms, prospective drivers must bring each of the forms, along with a valid driver's license, to the Office of Risk Management, Harkins Hall, Room 410.
