SUMMER HOUSING INFORMATION
Providence College has limited housing availability for enrolled undergraduates during the summer months.
Summer Housing session I will begin Tuesday, May 27th and will end on Thursday, June 12th. Summer Housing session II will begin on Monday, June 23rd and end on Tuesday, July 29th. All students must vacate Summer Housing between sessions I and II or pay for additional housing during the intersession period. Summer Housing assignments will be made in available apartment locations at the sole discretion of the Office of Residence Life.
The cost of Summer Housing is: $80.00 per day for a single bedroom and $65.00 for a double bedroom. While requests for a single or double room can be made, no guarantee is made as to availability. All students are reminded that meal plans, off campus phone service and Student Health will not be offered during Summer Housing. Computer network access and cable television will be available. All vehicles are to be parked in the Raymond lot.
If approved for housing due to your enrollment in a campus course, campus employment or academic-based internship, housing will only be available during the dates of the course, employment or internship in conjunction with the corresponding Summer Housing dates. A copy of your course enrollment form or a letter from your campus employment or internship supervisor must accompany this request. The enrollment form or letter must specifically state the dates you are required to attend class or work.
All charges for summer housing will be allocated directly to your Banner account. Payment arrangements must be discussed with Student Accounts in Harkins Hall rm. 400.
Please download the Summer Housing Request Form and return, completed, to the Office of Residence Life. DO NOT EMAIL THIS FORM; it must contain original signatures.
Additional important items to be aware of:
During all breaks/vacations, the Office of Residence Life and the Physical Plant reserve the right to enter any student room/apartment for safety and maintenance reasons. Students are reminded that Providence College does not assume liability for loss or damage to the personal property of a student whether the College is in session or on holiday.
Visitation ends at 12 midnight each night during the summer and there are no overnight guests or parties allowed during the summer. All students are advised that if they do not follow the procedures established for this period they could be removed from campus for the remainder of the period. All policies and procedures as stated in the Providence College Student Handbook apply to all campus residents and students during the Summer Housing period.
Raymond Cafeteria is closed during summer months; however, Alumni Cafeteria is open on a limited basis. You may contact them at x2213 to inquire about operating hours.
The Student Health Center is not open during summer months.
