Spring Break Housing Information
OFFICIAL NOTICE from the Office of Residence Life
During Spring Break all residence halls and apartments will be closed and locked on Friday, February 22, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. The residence halls and apartments that will be available for pre-approved residents are Guzman, McVinney, and St. Joseph Halls and the apartments.
All residents must be out of the residence halls and apartments by 6 p.m. on February 22 and are not allowed to re-enter until 12 noon on Sunday, March 2, 2008. It is the resident’s responsibility to plan their own travel accordingly to comply with this policy.
Any student with a valid reason may request permission to remain on campus during the break. Spring Break housing requests must be submitted no later than Monday, February 18 for consideration; requests received after that date may be assessed a $25.00 late request fee.
Any students found to be occupying campus housing without authorization during any part of Spring Break will be assessed a $200.00 per day penalty.
Residents who are approved for break housing are reminded that visitation ends at midnight every night of the break, no overnight visitors are allowed -- regardless of whether or not they are enrolled at Providence College . Residents are reminded that if they do not follow established procedures for this period they could be removed from campus for the remainder of the period. The Student Handbook applies during break/vacation housing.
