What is an Internship? An internship is a field placement in an agency or organization in the local community. Anacademic internship is an opportunity for students to connect classroom learning with the way life operates outside the classroom and with the world of work, for academic credit. Internships also allow students to test out their career or work interests before they graduate from college.
