The department faculty at Providence is very active and accomplished in their sociology research and publications.  At any given point in time, multiple department faculty members are engaged in research of their own.  Students therefore have opportunities to gain first-hand experience in various phases of the research process.  The value of this exposure is incalculable as students embark upon their investigation and study of sociology at Providence College.
