The Department of Social Work has five full time faculty members who teach the core courses in the social work curriculum and a cadre of Special Lecturers who teach special topic electives based on their areas of practice expertise.

In addition to our teaching and advising assignments faculty members are involved in a wide range of collaborations with community agencies around the improvement of existing services and the creation of new services. One of our faculty members has been appointed to serve on the New York City Disaster Response Team. Another serves on the Board of Meeting Street Center, where she heads the Board's Strategic Planning Committee.

The faculty brings to teaching years of experience in variety of social work practice fields including child treatment, mental health, adoptions, family therapy, community development, social and political advocacy, and program administration. Social and economic justice, international social work, social work values and ethics, substance abuse, and child development are just  a few of the professional interests of social work faculty members.

While faculty members are involved in a variety of professional activities our priority is you and your goals and aspirations.
