At PC, students are challenged to extend the boundaries of learning through the activities they become involved in, the resources they utilize and the people they meet. Students are continually encouraged to contribute to the campus community in ways that can make a difference.
The Office of Student Activities Involvement Leadership – known on campus as the SAIL Office – provides quality services to students that contribute to their academic and co-curricular success. The office works closely with the Board of Programmers, the student organization that plans activities to meet the social, cultural, educational and recreational interests of students. A comprehensive Student Clubs and Organizations Events Calendar is where all students look to find out what is happening on campus.
The SAIL Office sponsors L3: Lifelong Leadership, the College’s leadership program; provides support to over 70 recognized student organizations; and coordinates the new student orientation program.
The SAIL Office manages McPhail’s entertainment facility, which is open seven days a week and hosts events throughout the academic year. In addition, the SAIL staff oversees operations in Slavin Center, the College’s student union.
Local transportation, and the PC After Hours program also are sponsored by the SAIL Office to provide alcohol-free evening and weekend events.
