Students who live off campus follow the City of Providence's recycling guidelines.  The City offers two bins for recycling:

BLUE for cans and bottles, aluminum cans, glass bottles, plastic milk jugs, etc.
GREEN for mixed paper newspaper, cardboard, etc.

To obtain a full list of what you can recycle in the bins, please visit  Rhode Island Resource Recovery, at www.rirrc.org

By law, your landlord is supposed to supply you with recycling bins, as well as trash containers

You can purchase recycling bins for $5 each at the RI Department of Public Works (DPW)located at 700 Allens Avenue.  Please call them at (401) 467-7950.

If you have ANY questions, please contact the Recycling Program and we will help you with what you need!  Call us at (401) 865-1881 or email recycle@providence.edu
