The School of Professional Studies at Providence College is committed to fostering academic excellence through undergraduate and graduate studies in academic areas that are directly linked to career paths in the professional areas of education/teaching, social work, and health policy.

 

Graduate Degree Programs

Image Choose from courses of study in school administration, school or agency counseling, literacy, special education, and urban teaching. We also offer a secondary education program through PACT, a two-year Catholic schools residency program. Course are offered evenings year-round.

Undergraduate Degree Programs

Image Choose from programs in Elementary/Special Education, Secondary Education, Music Education, Health Policy & Management, and Social Work. Our programs are service-oriented and feature opportunities for multiple internships.

​Message from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Professional Studies at Providence College!  In the SPS we offer undergraduate programs in Elementary/Special Education, Secondary Education, Social Work, and Health Policy/Management, and graduate programs in Educational Administration, Counseling, Literacy, Secondary Education, Urban Teaching, and Special Education.

Our programs are fully accredited by their respective professional organizations, and our graduates are fully prepared to enter either directly into their chosen profession or continue on to graduate school.  Our graduates are teachers and principals of the year, CEOs of hospitals, leaders of non-profit agencies, college professors, doctors, counselors, and much more.
