    Fifty international scholars of English author Charles Dickens will meet at PC for the annual Dickens Society Symposium from August 6-9. more
  • Providence College English Professor Wins Prestigious African Writing Award
    E. C. Osondu, assistant professor of English at PC and a native of Nigeria, has won the 2009 Caine Prize for African Writing. The prize is awarded for the top short story written in English by an African writer. more
  • PACT Action Research Projects Help 'Change the World'
    Providence College's Providence Alliance for Catholic Teachers (PACT) program teachers recently made their final presentations showcasing the outcomes of their Action Research Projects. more
  • PC Approved for Theta Alpha Kappa Membership
    The Providence College Department of Theology was approved as a chapter in the national theology and religious studies honor society. Nine PC students were inducted into the society following the approval.  more

    The Greater Providence Chapter of the Providence College National Alumni Association, the Mal Brown Club, hosted a reception on campus for incoming members of the Class of 2013, transfer students, and family members on July 14. more
  • Burns '74 Earns Lifetime Service Award from Big Brothers
    Providence College alumnus Robert E. Burns '74 was presented The Rev. Howard C. Olsen Lifetime Service Award by the Big Brothers of Rhode Island, Inc. for his enduring service to the organization. more

    Former Providence College guard Weyinmi Efejuku '09 averaged 20 points per game for the Jamaican national team during the tournament.
