E. C. Osondu, assistant professor of English at PC and a native of Nigeria, has won the 2009 Caine Prize for African Writing. The prize is awarded for the top short story written in English by an African writer. more

PC Approved for Theta Alpha Kappa Membership
The Providence College Department of Theology was approved as a chapter in the national theology and religious studies honor society. Nine PC students were inducted into the society following the approval. more

The social, service, and spiritual activities range from building a home with Habitat for Humanity, to serving or singing at Mass, to volunteering at a soup kitchen, and meeting friends in a faith-sharing group.
