• Providence College freshman Jennifer den Hartog '12 (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) was featured in a story that appeared in the January 24 edition of Newsday. The story, "The Freshman Chronicles," focused on why various students made the college choices they did.

• Twelve PC Runners Qualify for BIG EAST Championships

• The Providence men's ice hockey team was named the national "Team of the Week" by College Hockey News on January 21 for going 2-0-1 in three road games during the previous week. One of the victories was over then-second-ranked Boston University.
