  • Dr. Robert B. Hackey,  professor of health policy and management, was featured in an article that was printed in the December 4 edition of The Providence Journal. The story,  "PC's Hackey named R.I. Professor of the Year,"  noted that Hackey recently was named Rhode Island Professor of the Year by Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

  • Burke '77 Named President and General Manager of Toronto Maple Leafs
    Brian Burke '77 will team up with former PC teammate Ron Wilson '77, who was named Toronto's head coach in the offseason. more
  • Doetzel '09, McCarthy '11 earn All-America Honors
    Following stellar performances at the 2008 NCAA Women's and Men's Division I Championships, the cross-country performers were named All-Americans. more

Did You Know?

 

  • The 59th Student Congress at Providence College recently donated 1,310 pounds of food it collected for needy families in the area during its annual "Trick or Treat for Canned Goods" food drive. Approximately 100 students dressed up in Halloween costumes on October 30 and went door-to-door in the PC neighborhood collecting canned goods.
