    The former Blackfriars Theatre in Harkins Hall was renovated during the summer and fall and includes a large, senate-style meeting space. more
  • PC Leases Shuttle Vans in Pilot Program
    In an effort to increase community service opportunities and co-curricular programming for students, the College has rented four additional shuttle vans for use during the spring semester. more

    The Balfour Center for Multicultural Affairs at Providence College is sponsoring three events for its annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Week celebration on campus from January 19-23. more

  • Lafrennie Joins NBA as VP of Marketing Communications
    David M. Lafrennie '82, a onetime student assistant in the Providence College Department of Athletics, has been named the National Basketball Association's vice president of marketing communications. more

  • Karen Ignagni '75 was interviewed for a story that aired on the January 6 edition of NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. The story, "Can America afford to heal its healthcare?" focused on President-elect Barack Obama's proposed healthcare policies. Ignagni is president and CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the trade association representing the nation's health maintenance organizations.

    Elementary school students from around Rhode Island gathered for activities relating to health, education, and sportsmanship. more
