Brother Francis Kevin O'Connell, O.P., an associate director of financial aid at Providence College and a longtime moderator of its Friars Club, died on Tuesday, November 4, at Rhode Island Hospital after a serious illness. more

Edward A. Iannuccilli, M.D. '61, a retired physician, is "almost giddy" over the first book he has written, Growing Up Italian: Grandfather's Fig Tree and Other Stories. more

Dr. Sue E. Lehrman, dean of the Providence College School of Business, was interviewed for a story in the October 26 edition of The Providence Journal. The article, "MBA classes thrive in troubled times," focused on how Master's of Business Administration (MBA) programs flourish at colleges and universities in trying economic times.

That students in the Department of Art and Art History installed a Tape Art Mural entitled "Are You Sure?" on November 2 on the Slavin Center wall. The intention of the six Drawing II and III students is to invoke the passion of fellow students for Election Day. Through the mural, the artists hope to inspire viewers to think about current global and local issues.
