• PC Mourns Death of Brother Francis Kevin O’Connell, O.P.
  Brother Francis Kevin O'Connell, O.P., an associate director of financial aid at Providence College and a longtime moderator of its Friars Club, died on Tuesday, November 4, at Rhode Island Hospital after a serious illness.  more
• New Office of Academic Services, Writing Center Unveiled
  Construction on the new 6,300 square-foot Office of Academic Services and Writing Center finished up last week. more
• Canavan Sports Medicine Center Stirs Friars' Pride
  The new 4,000 square-foot Canavan Sports Medicine Center in Alumni Hall is drawing strong reviews from student-athletes and coaches in the Department of Athletics. more

  The Office of Institutional Advancement is launching a new electronic newsletter, @PC, which will serve as the primary communications source for alumni-related information, events, and advancement initiatives. more

• First Book Brings Joy to Physician/Author Iannuccilli '61
  Edward A. Iannuccilli, M.D. '61, a retired physician, is "almost giddy" over the first book he has written, Growing Up Italian: Grandfather's Fig Tree and Other Stories. more

• Dr. Sue E. Lehrman, dean of the Providence College School of Business, was interviewed for a story in the October 26 edition of The Providence Journal. The article, "MBA classes thrive in troubled times," focused on how Master's of Business Administration (MBA) programs flourish at colleges and universities in trying economic times.

• Successful Fall Season Wraps for PC Teams
  Several of the College's sports teams will be participating in post-season tournaments after successful regular season campaigns. more

• That students in the Department of Art and Art History installed a Tape Art Mural entitled "Are You Sure?" on November 2 on the Slavin Center wall. The intention of the six Drawing II and III students is to invoke the passion of fellow students for Election Day. Through the mural, the artists hope to inspire viewers to think about current global and local issues.
