Longtime Providence College men's ice hockey broadcaster Mike Logan was named the 2008 recipient of the Joe Concannon Award, given annually by HOCKEY EAST to an outstanding member of the media. The award was presented to him during the HOCKEY EAST Media Day gathering at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on Monday, September 29. Logan has been the voice of the Friars for both radio and television since the 1995-96 season and has occasionally called women's ice hockey and men's basketball games as well.
