• Tom Archer '87 Produces Final Yankee Stadium Broadcast
  Providence College graduate Tom Archer '87, who is the coordinating producer of ESPN Sunday Night Baseball, produced the network's coverage of the final national game telecast from Yankee Stadium. more

• Daniel Reilly '11 of Portsmouth, R.I., was recently quoted in a story that appeared in The Santa Clara, Santa Clara (Calif.) University's student newspaper. The article, "College students encouraged to register to vote," focused on voter registration drives at various colleges and universities across the country.

• Men's Basketball Opens Season At Late Night Madness
  More than 3,000 Friar fans packed Mullaney Gym in Alumni Hall to see the 2008-09 men's basketball team hit the court for the first time at the annual Late Night Madness Celebration on Friday, October 17. more

• Longtime Providence College men's ice hockey broadcaster Mike Logan was named the 2008 recipient of the Joe Concannon Award, given annually by HOCKEY EAST to an outstanding member of the media. The award was presented to him during the HOCKEY EAST Media Day gathering at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on Monday, September 29. Logan has been the voice of the Friars for both radio and television since the 1995-96 season and has occasionally called women's ice hockey and men's basketball games as well.
