What To Expect!

Study abroad offers students an opportunity to grow in unique and exciting ways.  Get involved in this incredible experience of a lifetime!

*Students interested in studying abroad should begin to think about where to study and which program would be most suitable.
*It is recommended that students spend their entire junior academic year abroad.
*A successful international experience requires much planning and preparation on the part of the student.
*The Center for International Studies is available to facilitate your study abroad process, but ultimately you are the author of your own experience and responsible for all aspects of the process.

The role of the Center for International Studies includes advising students on study abroad program options in relation to the Providence College academic requirements, coordinating the PC study abroad approval process, identifying resources for information on overseas programs, assisting students with study abroad program applications, and the intercultural preparation of students for an international study sojourn.

*Please remember that the Center for International Studies is here to assist you with administrative details, and that it is your responsibility to make sure that the required forms and procedures are complete, correct, and submitted by the deadline.  The more thorough you are and the more active role you take in carrying out your responsibilities, the easier the process will be for you and the more rewarding your study abroad experience!
