Group Workshops
The O.A.S. offers several workshops devoted to academic topics including: study skills, time management, curriculum-specific success strategies, test taking, reading comprehension, and G.R.E./G.M.A.T. Test Preparation. Students may attend pre-scheduled workshop sessions, contact the O.A.S. to schedule group workshops at their own convenience, or visit an O.A.S. staff member for individual academic mentoring and consultation.

Individual Assistance
Many students choose to work individually with a member of the O.A.S. professional staff. In addition, students may choose to take the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) in the O.A.S. Lab in order to assess their preferred learning styles and develop appropriate learning techniques based on that style. Students often meet weekly with an O.A.S. staff member to review academic responsibilities, planning, and performance.
In conjunction with the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, the O.A.S. works individually with students deemed at academic risk as well as students placed on academic probation.
