Performance of "Breaking the Cycle," an adaptation of three classic plays: Iphigenia by Euripides, Agamemnon by Aeschylus, and Electra by Sophocles.
Nothing satisfies the cursed House of Atreus’s need for punishment and retribution. But who is really to blame? It seems as though not even the gods can give a perfectly accurate answer. This modern synthesis explores the aftermath of war, the path of revenge within family, and the endless cycle of bloodshed in three classic Greek plays. Student-directed productions sponsored by the Department of Theatre, Dance and Film are selected, cast, directed and designed by students, offering an opportunity for involvement in all aspects of theatre production.
