Marina Zabinski attended the prestigious Gnesin State School of Music in Moscow , Russia . In 1972 she graduated with a degree in classical piano performance and music theory. Soon after graduating, Marina began performing as a jazz pianist with a variety of ensembles across Russia , Romania , and Finland , and participated in several jazz festivals in various parts of Europe .

In 1991, Mrs. Zabinski moved to the United States and settled in Lincoln , Rhode Island . She has taught piano at the Rhode Island Philarmonic Music School and has been teaching privately for 15 years.

Along with actively performing with several jazz groups in New England , she has worked as a Minister of Music at Shawomet Baptist Church and as organist and music director at Arnold Mills United Methodist Church . Currently Marina Zabinski holds the position of organist and music director at the Barrington Congregational Church.

Mrs. Zabinski has been teaching classical and jazz piano at Providence College since 1996.
