PC Festival Band for High School Students
Christopher T. Kelton, D.M.

 Christopher Kelton, Assistant Professor of Music has conducted the concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band, and various chamber ensembles since 1995.  He holds a D.M. in woodwind performance and literature from Indiana University, and M.E. from Southwestern Oklahoma State and a B.S. from the University of Illinois.  Dr. Kelton has performed with Steve Allen, Mel Torme, Doc Severinson, Shari Lewis, Rich Little, Dave Brubeck, Clark Terry, Dan Haerle, Pearl Bailey and Louis Bellson.   He has performed as a soloist at World Saxophone Congresses in Japan, Italy and Spain. His students have won Music Teachers National Association competitions at state and regional levels and National Association of Jazz Educators and Downbeat awards nationally.  Dr. Kelton was conductor of the Blackfriars Theatre production of Cole Porter's Anything Goes in 2000 and Merrily We Roll Along in 2002.
