Providence College’s Track and Field and Hockey Arena Receive National Recognition

athleticsTHM.jpgProvidence, R.I. – Two of Providence College’s varsity intercollegiate athletics facilities have received national acclaim for their design and construction. Ray Treacy Track at Hendricken Field, which opened in the fall of 2013, was named the Track & Field Facility of the Year by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA). In addition, Schneider Arena, the College’s hockey arena, was selected for “Outstanding Design” by American School & University magazine. Schneider Arena underwent major renovations and an addition was added to the building in 2013.
