Providence, R.I. - After sharing a bedroom at home for 17 years, identical twins Max and Nick Widmer ’12 (Huntington, N.Y.), the oldest of six, didn’t plan to attend the same college. But after a tour, they “had a certain feeling” Providence College was the place for each of them.

Providence, R.I. - A bachelor’s degree is an even greater accomplishment when it takes a decade to achieve. For Ashley Wheeler ’12SCE, the journey took almost 10 years. For Ana Marin ’12SCE, it was 12. The Providence College School of Continuing Education students both completed their studies while working full-time jobs — Wheeler in Providence, Marin in Boston. Marin did it while shepherding two children through high school and college. Both women were determined not only to obtain degrees, but to make sure those degrees were from PC.

Providence, R.I. - Time after time, they answered the call for help. When their fellow students needed extra help with a research paper, studying for an exam, or understanding a classroom lesson, peer tutors in the Office of Academic Services (OAS) and the Writing Center have steadfastly been there to encourage and bolster writing and study skills.

Providence College Senior Determined to Take Lessons, Leadership Home to Botswana

Providence, R.I. - Mo Maruping ’12 (Orapa, Botswana) started preparing for his future career soon after he arrived at Providence College.  He met with the Office of Career Services during his freshman year, identified mentors among the student body and the professional staff, and took on internships in addition to his work experience as a resident assistant.
