The Treasurer of Providence College acts as a liaison between the College and the asset management firms engaged to oversee the College's endowment. The Treasurer, operating within the Finance & Business Division, oversees the investments in the College's Endowment, working with the investment managers, handling smaller accounts, transferring funds as needed, working with the office of Alumni/Development in the receipt of new funds, and working with the Board Investment Committee in setting priorities and direction for the management of the investments.
Bank Accounts
The opening of any College bank account requires approval by the Vice President for Finance and Business. Control and maintenance of any bank account for College funds, or funds to be held by the College as custodian or fiscal agent, are assigned to the Controller or, for endowment purposes, to the Treasurer.
Funds related to College functions, sponsorships and activities, or funds to be held by the College as custodian or fiscal agent, are to be deposited into College bank accounts. All deposit procedures are to be coordinated through the Controller.
