The Feinstein Institute for Public Service is a campus-wide resource for all students, providing programs, courses, and opportunities for students to become active and engaged in the community. Students of all academic disciplines, class years, and interests are invited to participate in the Institute’s various opportunities for engagement:
Student-led service trips to domestic and international locations.
Students serve as liaisons between community partners and students engaged in service learning courses.
A student-led college access program for high school students.

Federal work study grants can be awarded to students to work for community organizations.
Such as Raise Your Voice Grants (for student-led civic engagement projects) and Scholarships for Service (AmeriCorps-sponsored scholarships for 300 hours of service) through Rhode Island Campus Compact.

Sharing stories about our service experiences is essential to creating a stronger, more unified campus that adheres to the Providence College mission. Molly Driessen ('12) designed a wiki space for reflection on the service. These stories allow us to see what mobilizes, motivates, and inspires action among students.
Students are placed in organizations that address issues such as health care, tutoring, after school programs, youth development, English Language Learners, the environment, affordable housing, elder care, immigration, homelessness, nonviolence, and sustainable agriculture.
