The Department of Economics offers a broad liberal arts program. The programs of study offer the student significant flexibility in course structure; this flexibility allows the student majoring in economics to select courses consistent with his or her career objectives. In addition, the economics major is easily combined with other majors/minors.
Students majoring in economics may choose between three concentration areas: economics, business economics, and quantitative economics. All three concentrations have a common core curriculum that introduce and develop the key tools and theories necessary for the study of economics.
Career possibilities for economics majors:
