Albertus Magnus Hall - This academic science building houses classrooms, laboratories, offices, and a computer teaching lab for the departments of biology, chemistry and biochemistry, engineering-physics-systems, and psychology. Alumni Hall - This athletic facility houses the Department of Athletics’ administrative offices for the majority of the College’s 19 NCAA Division I teams. Its 2,620-seat Joseph A. Mullaney Gymnasium, named to honor the Friars’ late legendary men’s basketball coach, is home court for the women’s basketball and volleyball teams. Feinstein Academic Center - This academic facility is home to the Feinstein Institute for Public Service and houses offices for the Department of Public and Community Service Studies, the Liberal Arts Honors Program, the Center for Teaching Excellence, the Copy Center, the Office of Academic Media Services, and multi-media seminar and classroom facilities. Harkins Hall - This is the main administration building on campus. It houses most of the administrative offices of the College, including the Office of the President and the Office of Admission. It also houses the offices of the Graduate Studies Program, the School of Continuing Education, and the Department of Elementary/Secondary Education. It also houses the Emergency Operations Center and contains various meeting rooms and classrooms, the Balfour Center for Multicultural Affairs, and a small chapel. Hickey Hall - This academic science building houses offices and laboratories for the departments of biology, chemistry and biochemistry, and engineering-physics-systems. For more information, click on About PC > Campus Buildings > Academic on the PC Web site.

Howley Hall - This academic building provides offices for the departments of mathematics/computer science, political science, social work, and sociology, the Public Administration Program, the Political Science Data Center, and a workshop for physical anthropology/archaeology. Hunt-Cavanagh Hall - This academic building serves as the center for visual arts on campus, housing the Department of Art and Art History, the Hunt-Cavanagh Gallery, the McGlynn Collection, a Visual Resource Center, faculty offices, and art studios. Martin Hall - Martin Hall is listed with the National Register of Historic Places. It houses the development and alumni relations divisions of the Office of Institutional Advancement. Moore Hall - This academic building serves as a center for the College’s interdisciplinary Development of Western Civilization Program. It contains three large, audio-visual/video-equipped lecture presentation facilities, three additional classrooms, administrative offices, and a faculty lounge. Peterson Recreation Center - The Peterson Recreation Center is the hub of intramural athletics and recreational activity at Providence College. It is home to the Begley Arena, the Cuddy Racquetball Complex, and the Taylor Natatorium, a 25-meter pool with an outdoor patio. The Begley Arena, featuring five multipurpose courts within a perimeter 200-meter running track, accommodates basketball, volleyball, tennis, indoor soccer, and other sports. The Cuddy Racquetball Complex has three courts with observation windows and a dance studio where recreational aerobics classes are held.

Phillips Memorial Library - The library, which is known for both its original and renovated architecural style, maintains a collection of approximately 350,000 volumes and 1,600 current periodical subscriptions. It has access to more than 23,050 full-text electronic journals. The library offers an extensive collection of print and electronic reference materials including 120 bibliographic and full-text electronic databases—one of the largest collections of electronic databases in the region. It owns approximately 250,000 federal and Rhode Island state government documents in paper and microfilm form. The library offers access to 75 desktop and 20 laptop computers with full productivity software in the Library Commons tradition.

The library is a member of the HELIN (Higher Education Library Information Network) consortium, which gives students access to 4.7 million materials from any of eight collegiate libraries in Rhode Island. In addition, the library’s interlibrary loan service connects students to worldwide resources.

Recently renovated, the Phillips Memorial Library features the campus’s first wireless network and an electronic classroom. It accommodates approximately 600 students studying in quiet areas or group-study areas. It also houses the Office of Academic Services, the Providence College Archives and Special Collections, the American Studies Program, the Women’s Studies Program, and the departments of English and history.

Physical Plant - This building contains the administrative offices of the Physical Plant, as well as shops, maintenance equipment, and personal lockers related to the operations of the department. 

Power Plant - This building houses the College’s operations center for heating, cooling, and electricity, as well as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.

St. Catherine of Siena Hall - This building houses the offices of the Department of Philosophy and the Department of Theology.

St. Dominic Chapel - The chapel, dedicated in 2001, serves as the center of spiritual life on the College campus. It is named for St. Dominic de Guzmán, the founder of the Dominican Order of Preachers, a teaching and preaching order that dates from the 13th century. The chapel accommodates 600 worshipers and features a massive pipe organ, 45 stained-glass windows by the noted artist Sylvia Nicolas, a Romanesque crucifix and Stations of the Cross, and a gold-plated brass tabernacle.

The chapel’s lower level houses the Office of the Chaplain/Campus Ministry and the Campus Ministry Center.

Schneider Arena - The 3,030-seat Schneider Arena is home to the Friars’ men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. The arena is also used for student recreational activities such as ice skating and intramural hockey.

Slavin Center -Providence College’s student union, Slavin Center, is the hub of student social, cultural, and recreational activity on the campus. The center houses the club-like McPhail’s Entertainment Facility, ’64 Hall auditorium, the Providence College Bookstore, the Office of Student Affairs Administration, the Office of Career Services, the Office of Judicial Affairs, the Office of Off-Campus Living, The Cowl office, WDOM-FM radio station, ATM machines, the Information Desk, the Club Resource Room, and the Office of Student Activities-Involvement-Leadership (S.A.I.L.)/Slavin Center, which manages Slavin Center. The center also provides lounges, meeting rooms, and offices for student clubs and organizations such as the Board of Programers and the Student Congress.

Smith Center for the Arts  - This 2½-story building serves as the premier teaching and performance facility for undergraduates enrolled in performing arts courses or participating in extracurricular activities involving music, theatre, and dance.  The primary performance venues are the 283-seat Angell Blackfriars Theatre and the 272-seat Ryan Family Concert Hall. Teaching spaces include a “black box” studio theatre, the Bowab Studio Theatre; the Higgins Clark Dance Studio; a 20-keyboard piano lab; a film-screening classroom; a music library; and choral and instrumental practice rooms. The building also contains the Reilly Art Gallery, as well as offices, conference rooms, and storage areas for the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Film and the Department of Music.

Sowa Hall - This academic science building serves as the “science connector” between Albertus Magnus and Hickey halls.
