Laura E. Cianciolo
Marketing Manager-Creative Development with Disney Destinations, Celebration, Fla.
Graduated PC: 1997

PC Degrees: Bachelor of Science/Marketing

PC Activities: Choir, athletic trainer (sports medicine department), intramurals, Marketing Club

Career Path: Following her graduation from PC in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Laura E. Cianciolo enrolled in the Walt Disney World College Program. She took classes about the entertainment industry while she worked in Magic Kingdom merchandise in Liberty Square and traveled the rivers of the world as a skipper on the Jungle Cruise.

Cianciolo joined Disney’s professional ranks becoming the marketing coordinator in Magic Kingdom Brand Management for Walt Disney Attractions. There, she worked on special events such as the Christian rock concert, Night of Joy, and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. She also hosted TV and radio stations as they broadcast live and taped segments at the theme parks as part of the company’s Alliance Development office.

More recently, Cianciolo served as the marketing manager for Disney Sports Attractions where she wrote, directed, and produced videos and collateral for Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex. Her latest position is with Disney Destinations in Celebration, Fla., where she has recently been promoted to Marketing Manager-Creative Development. In this capacity, she creates advertising materials for Walt Disney World® Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and Disneyland® Resort, as well as campaigns to grab the interest of travel agencies and excite them about new offerings in Disney’s parks and resorts.

Family: Brother, Jason ’94; father, Donald ’68; uncle, Joseph ’60; uncle, Robert ’64 (deceased before graduation), and cousin, Vincent Capone ’70, all attended PC.

Staying Involved: Cianciolo still keeps in touch with friends she made at PC and reads the The Cowl and e-mail distributions from the Office of Institutional Advancement. When she comes up from Florida, she likes to visit the campus to see the changes taking place.
