The Providence College Figure Skating Club (PCFSC) is a "club sports" organization open to all members of the Prvidence College community. We seek to promote the sport of figure skating, encourage skaters of all levels to continue to participate, maintain, and strengthen their skating abilities. We currently have ice time twice a week at Schneider Arena at Providence College.
We are a member of the East Coast conference of collegiate skating clubs of which there are three competitions annually sanctioned by the United States Figure Skating Association. Founded in 2004 PCFSC fielded a team of 4 skaters in the "High Team" event at Boston University's collegiate competition in February 2005 where they placed 5th. In 2006 PC earned a silver medal in this event. This past season PCFSC fielded
both a High Team and Intermediate team at the Boston University Interscholastic Figure Skating Competition and skaters competed individually at BU as well as the University of Delaware. The club hopes to expand
membership, gain more ice time, and compete more extensively next season.
