Spring/Fall Post-Season Highlights
Men's Lacrosse: finished tied for second in regular-season standings in the MAAC and went on to win the MAAC Tournament title, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Three members of team were named to the All-MAAC First Team.
Women's Softball: finished the season in the BIG EAST Conference for an 11th place finish. One team member was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Men's Outdoor Track: One team member earned All-BIG EAST honors for winning the 1,500 meters at the BIG EAST Championships and All-America honors and was named USTFCCCA Northeast Men's Track Athlete of the Year.
Women's Outdoor Track: team member earned All-America honors. Two team members named All-BIG EAST for the 5,000-meters at the BIG EAST Championships and for 10,000-meters.
Men's Cross Country: automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships with their second-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. One team member earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.
Women's Cross Country: automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships with their first-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. One team member earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.
Men's Soccer: third-consecutive winning season and third-consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. One team member was named First Team All-BIG EAST.
Field Hockey: finished season ranked 20th in the NFHCA Division I Coaches' Poll. Five team members earned All-BIG EAST honors; one team member was named Goalkeeper of the Year.
Men's Ice Hockey: finished the season in HOCKEY EAST for an eighth place finish. One member named to the HOCKEY EAST All-Rookie Team.
Women's Ice Hockey: finished as runner-up in the HOCKEY EAST Championship. Senior goaltender became PC's all-time leader in saves with 2,555.
Men's Basketball: finished the season with its first trip to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) since 2003. One team member was named 2007 BIG EAST Men's Basketball Most Improved Player, and two other team members were named All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention.
Women's Basketball: continued to make strides with a 5.0 game improvement from the 2005-06 season. One team member earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors, and a freshman team member was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshmen Team.
