Withdrawing from a Course

The deadline to withdraw from a class or to change from credit/audit is noted in the course bulletin each semester and is also posted on the on-line calendar for the School of Continuing Education. Students must formally withdraw from courses with the SCE Office in writing (by fax, email or in-person). Ceasing to attend the class or informing the instructor does not constitute an official withdrawal. Failure to withdraw will result in an NF grade which will negatively affect a student's grade point average.

Course Cancellation
Any course may be cancelled because of insufficient registration or any other reason deemed appropriate in the absolute discretion of Providence College. This decision is made by the dean of the School of Continuing Education. In case of inclement weather or emergency, a decision will be made to cancel classes for that evening and broadcast by local radio and television stations.
A weather line is available to students by calling 401-865-1012.
