REMEMBER THAT SEXUAL MISCONDUCT IS NEVER THE VICTIM’S FAULT.

IT TAKES TIME TO HEAL.
Many victims of sexual misconduct blame themselves in some way. You may blame yourself for not fighting back or for wearing a certain outfit. If you know your attacker, you may blame yourself for trusting that person.
Remember that sexual misconduct is a crime about violence and aggression - not about sexual attraction. It is a violent crime that crosses all racial, ethnic, religious, and economic classes. It can happen to women, men, boys, and girls.
It does not matter what you wore or what you had to drink or where you were. It is the attacker who has committed the crime, not the victim!
