Did you know...
One of the most important factors in defining your career options or choosing your major (or minor) is knowing yourself.
Begin the process with some self-reflection, followed by completion of one or more self-assessment tests or online tools. Discuss your assessment results with a Career Advisor, Academic Advisor, or other key resource person.
|
| STOP. Take a Minute and Ask Yourself… |
-
What were your favorite high school courses? College courses? Why?
-
What activities do you enjoy and why?
-
If you could do anything, what would it be, and why would you choose it?
-
If you could study any subject(s) what would it/they be and why?
-
When you walk into a bookstore or library, what books attract you most and why?
-
Would you rather work with people, things, ideas, information, or some combination?
-
What types of people do you enjoy working or socializing with and why?
