Employer Site Visit Program
Host a site visit designed to expose undergraduate college students to career fields, position requirements, industry trends, and hiring practices for full time jobs, internships, and/or summer positions. Increase awareness of your organization, products, and services.
We are seeking organizations interested in hosting a group of students for a site visit to their establishment. The site visit is designed to provide students with an inside look at career areas, job responsibilities, industry information, recruitment and hiring practices.
Site visit format and details will vary depending on the organization, but general guidelines follow:
Timeframe
Friday or Wednesday, mid to late afternoon, for a 2-3 hour duration.
Group Size
Depending on site limitations and program format, but typically 20-25 students, accompanied by career services staff and faculty (as appropriate).
Format
Visit may include a pres entation, panel, and/or discussion related to company overview, functional areas, career paths (entry, experienced), skills/credentials sought, industry trends or industry specific information. A tour of the facility and the opportunity to meet or hear from department heads, recent graduates, and/or current interns is also of potential interest to students.
The specifics of the visit are open based on the organization's needs and interests, and will be determined in consultation with the PC Career Services Site Visit Coordinator.

Mock Interview Program
The Mock Interview Program, sponsored by the Career Services Office, has been hugely successful with students in the past year. Employers send a representative (typically from Human Resources, but anyone who interviews new hires is encouraged to participate) to campus for one day in order to "interview" students in preparation for future job interviews. Please contact Linda Ernst(401-865-2184) if you are interested in participating in this rewarding program.
Career Panels/Presentations
Throughout the year, the Career Services Staff plans and promotes various career-related panels and presentations. Presentations and panels from last year included "Careers In Accounting", "How to make it in Hollywood", "Careers in the Federal Government", and more. Please contact either Kathleen Clarkin or Linda Ernst (401-865-1530, and 401-865-2305 respectively) to learn more about programming for the current year.
