In 1990 the Providence College Alumni Shadow Program was launched, enabling students the opportunity for an “on-the-job” visit with a PC alumnus. Twenty years later, the name has changed but the worthwhile experience students receive has stayed the same! Career Services would like to invite you to participate in the 20th Winter Break Shadowing Day Program!

• Alumni volunteer to have 1 or more students spend a day at their organization in order to provide career information and advice.
• Students review alumni profiles and complete an application form.
• Career Services matches students to an opportunity based on their career interests and any criteria specified the alumnus.
• All matched students attend an orientation session to learn about the program goals and procedures, and how to prepare for their shadowing visit.
• Career Services will notify alumni of the students that will shadow them.
• Matched students will contact alumni directly to arrange the shadowing day.

  Student review shadowing opportunities
• November 6
  Student application deadline
• November 9—10
  Career Services determines matches
• November 18
  Alumni are notified of their student match(es)
• November 19—20
  Students attend an orientation session

  Student contact alumni to schedule their shadowing day visit
• December 22—January 12
  Shadowing days occur
