DiversityAbroad Study Abroad Scholarship & Grant Directory - Provides a list of scholarship and grant opportunities for specific programs and locations.  Awards range from $500 - $9,000.

IIE Passport Study Abroad Funding This funding resource allows you to search a comprehensive database by country or subject to find study abroad scholarships, fellowships, and grants applicable to your study abroad experience.

FinAid - FinAid is a comprehensive database of student financial aid information, with a large portion devoted to study abroad funding.

International Education Financial Aid - IEFA is a resource for financial aid, college scholarship and grant information for US and international students wishing to study abroad. At this site, you will find a comprehensive college scholarship search and grant listings plus international student loan programs and other information to promote study abroad. 

Scholarships at GoAbroad.com - Search for funding based on region, level, and field of study.


Study Abroad Scholarship Programs

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program  This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

Sally Whitcher World Travel & Peace Awards  grants two $500 awards for studying abroad during the summer or fall 2009 terms, to students who demonstrate a commitment to educational and intercultural experiences in their travel plans.

Diversity Abroad provides a Scholarship search database for study in various countries or specific locations.  Interested students should discuss their search results with the Dean of International Studies.

National Security Education Program - NSEP awards scholarships to American students for study of world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America & the Caribbean, and the Middle East ). The countries of Western Europe , Canada , Australia , and New Zealand are excluded.

Rotary International - The Rotary Foundation sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies.

Fr. Philip A. Smith, O.P., Student Fellowships for Study and Service Abroad - These are awarded on a competitive basis to rising juniors and seniors.  The Fellowships enable students to undertake summer study or service at Catholic and Dominican sites outside the continental United States.  The fellowships cover travel, living, and incidental expenses, and provide Fellows with a modest stipend.

The Elisha Mowry Scholarship Award - This is a $1500 scholarship awarded to a junior from a Rhode Island college or university who elects to study in the United Kingdom or Ireland for a portion of the junior year.  Details on the application process for this award can be found in the Center for International Studies each March, as the application is due in April.

Ashleys Foundation Scholarship - To award scholarship to qualified students for travel and study abroad, based on merit, personal qualities, and/or financial needs.  The scholarship shall be in the amount between $500-$1500.
