The Multicultural Scholarship Program at Providence College monitors, mentors and maintains students who receive scholarships designed for ethnic and cultural minorities at the College. These scholarships are intended to be four-year scholarships to assist incoming students of color. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the applicant's anticipated academic performance and potential cultural contribution to the College. Transfer students and present Providence College students are eligible for the scholarships, as funds are available.
Scholars meet with the Program Director on a regularly scheduled basis to discuss their academic, professional, and social development. Areas of emphasis include monitoring grades and acclimation to Providence College, internship preparation, resume and cover letter writing, leadership development, and volunteerism.
