“Each one, Reach one, Teach one” is the philosophy that is held to high standard by Alumni who have passed through the doors of Slavin Hall and have benefited from the Martin Luther King, Cunningham Southeast Asian and other scholarship programs mentored through the Balfour Center.  

Over the years Alumni have been active in the support of current day students and the PC community.   Groups like the PC Black Alumni have been actively engaged in creating dialogue, mentoring scholars, sponsoring events for current day students and hosting PC Black Alumni reunions on campus.  The PC Black Alumni committee is constantly growing, but has maintained great momentum thanks to a core committee comprised of dedicated people.  Members are as follows:

PC Alum are active contributors to the Balfour & PC Community and partner closely with Alumni Development, and the Balfour Center to host a myriad of events such as:

  • On September 2009 Charles Newton invited all MSP Recipients for a fun day of Barbecue, food, and music in his house.
  • October 2002 Charles Newton & committee hosted 25 current day scholars for a lively barbecue, laughs, discussion, and Crazy 8’s.
  • October 2002 the PC Black Alum hosted the 3rd annual PC Black Alumni Reunion weekend which included 3 days of catching up, games, food, music, and networking.
