Welcome to the
Balfour Center for Multicultural Affairs
One of the major resources open to students at Providence College is the Balfour Center for Multicultural Affairs (BCMA).
The BCMA provides workshops, guest speakers and educational activities for members of the Providence College community to explore and engage in multicultural learning experiences.
In addition, we provide academic, social, cultural, and personal programs and services that support, retain, and graduate AHANA (African-, Hispanic-, Asian- and Native American) and Multicultural Scholarship Program (MSP) students.
Students are encouraged to become involved in activities and projects designed to add to their academic, personal, cultural and professional development.
Student organizations like the African-American Society, S.O.A.R. (Society Organized Against Racism), Fête Française, Circolo Italiano, Clube Portugues, Gaelic Society, Asian American Club, Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA), Eastern European Union, and Amigos Unidos , are dedicated to share and celebrate the various cultures with the Providence College community.
